I complete this keynote for my Project and Portfolio 1 class at Full Sail University in April of 2021. This keynote goes over where I'm at currently in my career, and where I want to be in the next year, 5-10 years, and 15-20 years after college. It also goes over what specifically I want to do in the sports media world and who my main connections need to be for peak success.
2. Since the age of 5, sports have been the 2nd
biggest part of my life other than family. I grew up
playing basketball and baseball until high school. I
reffed soccer for youth and high school for 6 years.
I’ve also gotten back into athletics by playing softball
for 3 years now. My dream is to be on Primetime for
MLB Network or FOX in the next 15-20 years. I
believe my personality, and “get my job done right
the first time” mentality will be a focal point for being
on air, and it will also allow me to be relatable to
other people. I didn’t grow up a stud athlete or with
rich famous parents. I’m a young adult, from a small
city, with a big dream to be the face of the baseball
broadcasting world before he’s 40. People I went to
high school with thought I was crazy. Watch where I
am in 15 years and let’s see where they’ll be. I’ll bet
on myself every day of the week.

HERO ARCHETYPE: The hero
brand is all about rising above
adversity while also hoping to
inspire others. Hero type people
look to leave their mark on the world
even if it risks sacrificing
themselves. They have to make
quick decision and think on their
feet as well.

5. GOALS
Short Term: 2022-2023
• Getting hired at a baseball company such as MLB
Network or FOX
‣ Once I graduate from Full Sail I’ll want to get out
into the industry as quickly as possible. Getting
hired on as a low level position or even doing a
payed internship would be a great start.
Mid Term: 2027-2032
• Getting on air for late-time TV
‣ Somewhere between year 7-9 I’d love to hit the
worlds TV screens by cohosting a show in those
later hours of the day.
Long Term: 2037-2042
• PRIMETIME TV
‣ After hopefully being on air for 7-10 years now. I
want to move up into a primetime 5-8 PM slot on
TV. It certainly won’t be easy beings I’ll be in my
early to mid 30’s but I know I have the grit to do
what it takes to get there.

11. BRAND POSITION
For those at MLB Network who want to start appealing to the
younger generations around the world, I provide the younger
connection as well as great amounts of knowledge about the
sport. Everyone says they’ll work hard for a company, but
with me the difference is I always want to continue to
improve until I’m the Babe Ruth of the Baseball Broadcasting
industry. There will be no slowing down, no stopping until
that’s been completed in my career. You will ALWAYS get my
very best.

14. DYLAN FOSTER
You know people have been talking about how baseball
viewership is declining? Well I’ll be not only a new face, but a
knowledgeable person to have on air. My former boss at my job gave me a
testimonial saying, ‘Dylan's enthusiasm is contagious. His work ethic is rarely found in his
age group. We appreciate his ability to multitask with genuine sincerity, and he is a true
asset to our team.’ I will take that enthusiasm and work ethic and bring that into the
professional world once I’ve graduated college. I’ll also bring an informed, but comedic
tone to baseball to make the new younger generations want to watch America’s Game.
