	 The South Nodaway/
Jefferson co-op team
advanced to 2-1 on the sea-
son after a 6-0 victory March
26 over the North Nodaway
Mustangs at Beal Park.
	 The Longhorns’ batting
combined well with Ben
Jermain’s pitching as the
co-op ran away with the win.
Better yet for Coach Aaron
Murphy and the Longhorns,
Jermain is just one of many
arms in the team’s arsenal,
along with Garrett LaMaster,
Quetin Ebrecht, Trey Farnan
and Logan Murphy.
	 The co-op put out a 2-0
lead in the third inning and
expanded it to 6-0 after the
fourth inning with a two-run
double by Bryce Deen. Other
RBI hitters for the team were
Tristan Freemyer, LaMaster,
Jermain and Regan Meyer.
Jermain also pitched four
strikeouts.
	 For the Mustangs, Koby
Reynolds pitched six strik-
outs and went three-for-
three at bat.
