Greetings from Laxmi Priya Initiatives. I am Dr. V. Laxmi Priya, Former Principal of a reputed CBSE school in
Chennai and founder of Laxmi Priya Initiatives, an initiative that offers holistic overall development and character
building of individuals to enhance their performance. When I became the principal, I understood the immense stress,
students of classes 11 and above undergo and decided that these students need someone to help them get through
these important years of their lives. As I have more than two decades of experience in the teaching line, I decided to
introduce innovative methods of learning and teaching for students and teachers respectively as part of this program.
Laxmi Priya Initiatives is a result of that thought. Although the main focus of this initiative is the students of 11th and
12th, it does not end there. Apart from counselling students, various other services are offered, which include -

* Facilitating holistic skill development through personality development sessions.
* Offering career guidance and support for competitive exams.
By this initiative, I hope that more students step out of their comfort areas to tackle their fears and doubts and

3. About Dr. V. Laxmi Priya.
Dr. V. Laxmi Priya was born in Chennai in 1970. She finished her schooling and
college in various places around the country always being one of the most forward thinkers in
every class of hers. Being somebody who believes in the adage "One must never stop
learning", she shows her willingness to learn more in everything she does. At 46, she is
pursuing a degree in distant mode at the Harvard School of Education “WORLD WIDE”,out of
her interest in learning and achieving.
Even with the Doctorate hanging behind her name, she prefers to be known as a
teacher, somebody who learns something from everything she teaches. She entered the
teaching field in 1994, as a Chemistry teacher for the students of Grades 11 and 12 , rapidly
becoming somebody students and teachers alike, laid trust in. By 2008, her excellent qualities
and unwavering commitment made her the principal of a reputed CBSE school in Chennai
Being the Principal gave her a lot of insight into students’minds, and she soon
understood the immense stress students of grades 11 and above face, on all fronts. She
decided she had to do something to help those students cope with life and its trials. This
became one of the foremost reasons why she started Laxmi Priya Initiatives.
