 HOW DID MICHAEL KING BECOME DR. MARTIN LUTHER KING, JR.?
 WHAT WERE THE MAJOR ACCOMPLISHMENTS OF DR. KING?
 IF DR. KING WERE ALIVE TODAY, WHAT WOULD BE HIS MAJOR

 Free slave labor created enormous wealth for others.
 Slavery restricted opportunities for slaves to make progress, even
after the Civil War was won and Reconstruction was undertaken.
 Plantation owners fought the bloody Civil War to maintain their
lifestyles of comfort and entitlement, so well documented in films and
books.
 The Half Has Never Been Told: Slavery and the Making of American
Capitalism by Professor Edward Baptist tells how cotton and sugar cane
were major crops that slaves harvested by wealthy land owners.
