  53. 53. Reduce construction time Buildings can be constructed in less time compared to others once the design is approved. Foundation and anchor bolts can be cast parallel, ready for the site bolting. This also allows faster occupancy and earlier realization of revenue.
  54. 54. Low space requirements for storage at site Conventional buildings require a considerable space to store materials during construction for a long time. Since this method reduces the requirements of the materials and space requirement at site, there is a considerable saving on account of the same
  55. 55. Lower Cost Due to less dead load, well designed economic sections, manufacturing in the factory and time saving in construction, cost saving is feasible though their technical consultancy of design may require some additional expenses
  56. 56. Expansion Flexibility Buildings can be easily expanded in length by adding additional bays provided future provision of expansion in width is already kept. Also, it is easier to increase the height of the structures.
  57. 57. Larger Spans Buildings can be made with larger spans without supports in between i.e. without columns. Most of the efficiently used exhibition and convention halls are constructed having column free inside space
  58. 58. Quality Assurance As components are manufactured completely in the factory under controlled conditions, the quality is assured
  59. 59. Lower Maintenance Buildings can be manufactured with automotive high quality materials to suit ambient conditions at the site resulting into durability and low maintenance costs.
  60. 60. Better Seismic Resistance Due to low weight flexible frame, seismic resistance of such structures is high compared to conventional structures.

A building designed to be fabricated using a pre- determined inventory of raw materials and manufacturing methods that can efficiently satisfy design and functional requirements • Thus any type of building can be categorised in PEB provided satisfy design and functional requirements and is a fabricated one
