12. Prevention of Infectious disease (Article 3.2 of OIE)
Pre-quarantine
Bull should be free of Brucellosis, TB, Para tuberculosis,
BVD,IBRT etc.
Quarantine (28 days minimum)
Bull should be tested for Brucellosis, BVD, IBRT,
Trichomoniasis, Campylobacterious
Residents ( Annually once)
Semen Evaluation: For Brucellosis, BVD, IBRT,
Trichomoniasis, TB etc.

13. Inherited sperm defects
Anteriorly placed
thickening of acrosome.
Sperms have normal
motility and concentration
but sperms cannot
penetrate ova
Spermatozoa will
have strongly coiled,
folded or disrupted or split
tails. Sperms are immotile
Red colored spots located along the
nuclear ring, just like a row of
pearls or necklace or diadem. This is
an inherited sperm defect with
eversion of galea capitis and crater
shaped depression of nucleas
