Dear Sir/Madame:
The following CV is the summary of my professional experiences for
your information. I graduated from University of Istanbul in 1990 as a
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine. Since then I have owned small animals
practice and have occasionally treated equine, bovine, and exotic pets as
well. I have also obtained two PhD degrees. My first PhD degree is in
Health Care Systems from university of Istanbul in 1997, and my second PhD
degree is in Food Hygiene and Food Technology from University of Istanbul
in 1996.
Before starting my own private business in the field of Veterinary
in Canada I served as the hospital manager at International Hospital in
Istanbul and later worked for Canadian Food Inspection Agency for a few
years as the Primary Product Inspector.
I am an active member of the following professional associations:
College of Veterinarians of Ontario, Ontario Veterinary Medical
Association, Canadian Veterinary Medical Association, Veterinary Skills
Training and Enhancement Program (VSTEP) which is supported by the
provincial government and conducted by The Ontario Veterinary College; and
National Mentorship Roster Program, which deals with training and
assisting foreign-trained veterinarians so that they can practice
veterinary medicine in Canada. I have also held the titles of the
Director, the President and the Past-President of Toronto Academy of
Veterinary Medicine, and have been a member of college of Veterinary Of
Ontario Disciplinary Committee for 6 years.
I provide consulting services to veterinarians with professional,
legal, business management and mediation. I am the only Veterinarian
member of The Mentoring Partnership with TRIEC (Toronto Region
Immigrant Employment Council) from Toronto Region.
I have a by-weekly one hour live radio and TV show in TinTV, where I
speak on a variety of veterinary medicine subjects including, Food
Hygiene, Zoonotic disease and others, in the Farsi language. I post and
share my talks on Facebook, YouTube, LinkedIn and twitter.

1997 Material Management, and inventory control in
Hospitals” University Hospital magazine
This study covers role and importance of material
management and effective inventory control in hospital
management. It compared traditional purchasing with
central purchasing. It studied transition of traditional
inventory control to barcoding system to provide
effective material manage net in hospital. It further
studied the difference of material management and
inventory control in public and private hospitals as
well. The study revealed time, and financial burden of
transition but its positive effect in material
management in long term.

The study conducted on epidemiology of
Campylobacter Jejuni in chicken meat and products and
its risk for public health. Campylobacter Jejuni is a
thermophilic bacteria which can cause enteritis in
animals and has Zoonotic risk for public health. This
study conducted on 250 samples of raw and cocked
chicken, and workers hand. Samples were collected from
retail stores, Slaughterhouse, processing and packaging
plants, and restaurant.
Campylobacter growth at many samples at different
processing levels. Data collected, analyzed, and
concluded. The result indicates and emphasize the
importance of this bacteria in chicken, role of
processing and handling in contamination of product at
different processing levels, and risk of e ffected
product for public health.
VONUTEER ANDCOMMUNITY ACTIVITIES:
2000-2003 North York Public Health Committee member, Acting
C0-Chair.
The North York Public Health Committee is one of the six
divisions of Toronto Public Health committee. The
committee involved of Public Health officers and public
member appointed by city of Toronto public health
committee. The role of the committee is research the
public interest, and brings this to committees’
attention. Committee members presented and discussed by
homeless people; victims with mental health issues;
abuse towards women; food banks; areas with crime and
gun problems; the role of poverty in crime; the
influence of caffeine in youths’ daily diet; childhood
obesity; the dominant influence of caffeine in schools /
lack of alternatives and the resulting effect on
children health; alternative medicine; the needs of
immigrants. The City of Toronto Public Health Committee
passed some of the motions raised by The North York
Public Health Committee. Those motions were widely
reflected in the media as being appreciated by the
general public.
2000 CIVILIAN POLICE COLLEGE, Toronto Police:
The Toronto police department conducted a three month
project aiming at improving police and community
relations. The police department selected attendance
after long investigation into candidates. I feel so
fortunate to have been selected for and to have
participated in the project. Selection criteria
included:
Capable recognize potential problems; protecting
yourself and others; abstaining from making unnecessary
judgement; avoiding proactive action if it could
increase tension; immediately and effectively informing
authorities when needed; staying aware of any action
that could be potentially dangerous / cause major life
problem(s) for individuals.
The goal was to have trained people to: initiate action,
collect reliable and accurate information for
authorities, help community members to calm down in
order to prevent further potential danger / injury and,

in so doing, to protect more lives.
