INTRODUCTION
• Rasamanikya is an effective ayurvedic Mineral formulation
with properties to manage the disease occurring due to vitiation
of vata and kapha doshas.
• Rasamanikya made out of Shudda haratala and abhraka patra.
• Due to the Manikya (Ruby) colour it is termed as Rasamanikya.
• Rasamanikya can be prepared by classical Abhraka patra
method and Sharava samputa method, etc.
• Its recommended in the management of Kushta, Shwasa,
Phiranga, Vicharchika, Bhagandara and Vatarakta.

CONCLUSION
• Rasamanikya is a well-known medication described in
Rasendra Chintamani by Dhundhukanath in 13th century A.D.
as “Rasam Manikya Prabham” which directly indicates the
standard of finished product i.e. Ruby colour.
• It is used by many ayurvedic physicians to treat vata kapha
disorders like shwasa, kasa, kushtha etc.
• It helps with bronchitis, eases phlegm expectoration, reduces
bronchial inflammation, and improves breathing, relieving chest
pain.
• It is beneficial for treating a number of skin ailments, including
leukoderma, eczema, and diseases that cause the skin to become
excessively dry.
