Personal Background
I am a retired, internationally experienced Automotive Manufacturing Engineering
professional. My 37 year career reflects an ever increasing level of responsibility,
growing from apprentice die maker to Vehicle Dimensional Quality Manager for General
Motors’ largest vehicle launch in recent years.

Vehicle Dimensional Quality Manager (8th level)

As VDQM, I was responsible for 2014 Full Size Pick Up Truck body and interior static
dimensional and perceived quality. The GM VDQM is the primary decision maker
relative to overall vehicle static quality during product development and launch.
This role encompassed evaluation of static quality from the interior and exterior design
studios, vehicle component and manufacturing tooling engineering and design, pre-
production builds and Silao Assembly (Mexico) and Flint Assembly Plant production
launches. I managed and achieved quality metric launch targets at both facilities. I was
also responsible for regular program launch quality reports to senior product and
manufacturing managers up to and including vice president level.
General Motors Holden – Advanced Vehicle Die and Stamping
Manufacturing Systems Integration Engineer (8th level)
March 2006 – October 2008
As MSIE, I was the lead advanced die and stamping engineer for the 2010 Camaro. I
was based at the GM Holden Engineering Center, Melbourne, Australia for 2.5 years.
In this assignment, I directed vehicle product design as it relates to stamping
manufacturability. I interfaced with product engineering and exterior vehicle styling on a
daily basis.

As an EGM, I managed various die and stamping engineering teams, consisting of
salaried supervisors, engineers and UAW skilled trades.
