How did you attract your audience

2. INTRODUCTION
The main way that I attracted my audience
was by the front cover. The front cover
is the first thing that the audience will
see and will be attracted to. It needs to
immediately draw the eye to the
magazine and intrigue you. If the
magazine is different from other
magazines it will be more eye catching
as the eye is drawn to anything unusual
or out of place. By doing this with my
magazine I am appealing to my target
audience and making them won’t to read
more about the magazine My magazine
is a classic rock music magazine.
3. COVER MODELS
The cover models are referencing John
Lennon and Paul McCartney of the
Beatles. Fans of the band will immediately
recognise this iconic pose and will be
intrigued to know more. The clothes I
choose were very smart and again
modelled around classic rock and rock
bands such as The Beatles, the Rolling
Stones and artic monkey’s. They are
staring directly at the camera and
therefore this makes a connection with
the reader as it can make them feel
special or like that the cover models are
asking them to read the magazine. They
have very serious facial expressions so
the reader knows that they are serious
artists who want to have an impact on the
music world. The black background
reinforces this idea of a serious artist as it
makes them seem mysterious and
interesting
4. SELL LINES
The sell lines also help attract the reader.
This is because of the amount of bands
spread across the front cover. At the
side of the magazine we have all the
interviews with huge worldwide bands.
Then at the bottom of the magazine we
have another section that has all the
bands that will feature in the magazine.
This helps attract a large audience as a
have a broad selection of bands and
artists to read about. There is also
information about a competition prize.
This can attract a lot of people
depending on the prize. My prize is a
very music related one so “die hard”
fans will want this and therefore buy
the magazine to enter.
5. SOCIAL NETWORKING
Society is now driven by social
networking. Most people are on a
social networking site and is now
the thing today in the modern era.
This is why I have made my
magazine public on Facebook
and Twitter two of the most
popular social networking
websites. This would appeal to a
younger audience as they like up
to date technology and forms of
media. Older audiences who have
not been subjected to the social
media craze may not understand
what the logo’s mean but it is
mainly for the younger readers to
use,
