This is a presentation I created to share the North Coast Breast Health Community Needs Assessment. This presentation focus on how communities can utilize the needs assessment as a tool to decrease breast health disparities along the North Oregon Coast.

- Catholic Healthcare West’s Community Need Index (CNI) mapsUsing a four-point scale to identify severity of need, the CNI maps pinpoint neighborhoods (by zip code) with significant barriers to health care for each county in our target area.Rather than relying solely on public health data, the CNI accounts for the underlying social and economic barriers that affect overall health. Using a combination of research, literature, and experiential evidence, Catholic Healthcare West identified the following five prominent socio-economic barriers to quantify health care access in communities.
