SUMMARY
I have been fortunate to get my training at Atomic Energy Corporation and SASOL South Africa
and gained a great deal of experience in several different climates, cultures and areas of the
engineering design sector which includes the Petrochemical, Chemical, Oil and Gas, on and Offshore
Fields and Drilling. The experience ranges from minor and major modifications using Management of
Change (MOC) processes, new plant designs, platform refurbishment, Front End Engineering Design
(FEED); Detailed Engineering, being a member of a large team, leading a multi disciplined team,
providing training, supervision and mentoring, ensuring appropriate technical standard are met or
exceeded and compliance with Client requirements.
I have good working knowledge of Piping system design, including routing, material selection
/specification /substitution, and pipe support design. Various drawing deliverables have included
Conceptual Design, 3D Models, Piping General Arrangements, defining Tie In locations through to
Isometrics, Stress Isometrics, Pipe Supports, Weld Maps and Material Take Offs.
I am familiar with various mandatory, standards and statutory codes for example:- American National
Standards Institute (ANSI), American Petroleum Institute (API), American Society of Mechanical
Engineers(ASME), American Society for Testing of Materials (ASTM).
The variation has helped to sharpen my communication and organization skills.
The last seven years have been spent alongside project management, process, reservoir
management, drilling, offshore and onshore construction, operations, logistic departments as well as
the usual design office discipline groups. Working to efficiently reduce build and shutdown costs as
well as conforming to the applicable statutory codes and international design standards.
