Superficial fascia – loose areolar tissue, fat,
cutaneous nerves, great saphenous vein and
tributaries, cutaneous branches of femoral
artery and inguinal lymph nodes with vessels.

branch of lumbar plexus
Intermediate and medial femoral cutaneous
nerves and saphenous nerve – branches of
femoral nerve
Branch from anterior division of obturator
nerve
Skin over femoral triangle is supplied by
- Ilio inguinal nerve
- Femoral branch of genito-femoral nerve

Superficial veins – lie in the superficial
fascia(Great and small saphenous veins)
Deep veins – surrounded and supported by
powerful muscles and enclosed in tube of thick
non elastic deep fascia and the accompany
arteries
Perforating veins – communicate between deep
and superficial veins. They are valved and allow
blood flow from superficial to deep only

by medial marginal vein – passes upward in
front of medial malleolus – medial surface of
tibia – postero medial aspect of knee joint –
posterior to patella – medial side of thigh –

pubic tubercle
