Introduction
This Comic Book Series was created as the final outcome of an eTwinning project aiming to promote the cultural and social concepts of friendship,
acceptance, tolerance, collaboration. The idea for some of the Booklet’s features stems from an official program run in 5 Greek Public Primary
Schools in 2015-16, by “ΑΝΤΙΓΟΝΗ» (ANTIGONE)1.

Given the fact that the scope and topic of the project applies to all school ages and a range of means can be used, the little participants of this
project come from different ages and have been producing different intellectual outcomes. Pre-schoolers, 1st graders and 5th graders meet and join
forces.
Methodofinstruction
To run such a project it has been essential that the pupils worked together in groups while their teachers were monitoring and coordinating their
work. Positive interdependence and interaction was to replace the antagonistic interrelations which are so often to be found between peers during
“formal” instruction. The positive effects of peers’ collaboration led to the development of reflection and knowledge through the usage of
language/s, and added to the quality and quantity of the linguistic and non-linguistic communication between pupils.

Tasos. He was 9 years
old and had a sister,
Alexandra.
The tree. It is 1,000
years old. It was in all
wars and nothing bad
has ever happened to it.
Landmine. It came from
the factory that
produces landmines a
long time ago.
Alexandra is 11 years
old and had a brother,
named Tasos.
Once upon a time, there were two children named
Alexandra and Tasos. They were siblings. One day
they took a walk in the forest.
Then, they were playing football and the ball fell
on a landmine that went Bam!!! And the two
children died from a landmine which was there
since the war.
Stupid soldiers should take the landmines they
leave behind since the war. Children have the
right to be protected from war.
Stella, Giannis, Chrisa (5th graders)
Wizel, 16 years old.
I am a simple girl whose
parents have died in the
war and so I decided that
I will help the children who
have the same problem.
Lia, 15 years old.
I am a lonely child. My
parents died in the war. I
have powers like
disappearing and flying.
Djalma, 24 years old.
He has only one eye and
this is why he can’t see
well. He is very strong, this
is why he has two swords.
GENERAL MALO.
He is cool, he is very
strong and he is 31 years
old.
There are 4 horrified kids, Dodopil, Wizel, Djalma
and Lia. These 4 kids do not have parents because
they have died in the war, but after this, the kids
couldn’t stand it anymore. Thus one night, those
kids took some skin and sewed hero-uniforms, so
that the next morning they went to tell the
soldiers to stop, but they made fun of them and
hit them.
Thus the kids decided all together to help
children without a family.
Some children tried to go away with their families
to be saved, but they were finally saved by these
kids.

Introduction This Comic Book Series was created as the final outcome of an eTwinning project aiming to promote the cultural and social concepts of friendship, acceptance, tolerance, collaboration. The idea for some of the Booklet’s features stems from an official program run in 5 Greek Public Primary Schools in 2015-16, by “ΑΝΤΙΓΟΝΗ» (ANTIGONE)1. Participants Dimitra Provelengiou 8th Primary School of Ampelokipoi Thessaloniki, Greece Nesrin İlter Tuzburgazı Ortaokulu Söke, Turkey Georgeta Staicu Scoala Gimnaziala Mihai Viteazul Calarasi Calarasi, Romania Rosa Muñoz FEDAC Monistrol Monistrol de Montserrat, Spain Katerina Tzimopoulou 1st Primary School of Krinides Kavala, Greece Elif Tertemiz Arat İmkb Kayaliboğaz İlkokulu Sincan, Turkey Pupilage Given the fact that the scope and topic of the project applies to all school ages and a range of means can be used, the little participants of this project come from different ages and have been producing different intellectual outcomes. Pre-schoolers, 1st graders and 5th graders meet and join forces. Methodofinstruction To run such a project it has been essential that the pupils worked together in groups while their teachers were monitoring and coordinating their work. Positive interdependence and interaction was to replace the antagonistic interrelations which are so often to be found between peers during “formal” instruction. The positive effects of peers’ collaboration led to the development of reflection and knowledge through the usage of language/s, and added to the quality and quantity of the linguistic and non-linguistic communication between pupils. 1 Center of Information and Documentation about Racism,Ecology, Peace and Non-Violence, in cooperation with the Non ProfitOrganization “AddArt”, funded by the “Stavros Niarchos”Institution.

Further more, relevant topics are concluded in units / chapters of school textbooks in foreign language, history, religion, social and environmental studies, art, informatics / ICT.

  • 31. 8th Primary School of Ampelokipoi, Thessaloniki, Greece Nick, Theofilos, Nickolas, Anastasia, Maria V., (5th graders) Tasos. He was 9 years old and had a sister, Alexandra. The tree. It is 1,000 years old. It was in all wars and nothing bad has ever happened to it. Landmine. It came from the factory that produces landmines a long time ago. Alexandra is 11 years old and had a brother, named Tasos.
  • 32. Once upon a time, there were two children named Alexandra and Tasos. They were siblings. One day they took a walk in the forest. Then, they were playing football and the ball fell on a landmine that went Bam!!! And the two children died from a landmine which was there since the war. Stupid soldiers should take the landmines they leave behind since the war. Children have the right to be protected from war.

  • 34. Stella, Giannis, Chrisa (5th graders) Wizel, 16 years old. I am a simple girl whose parents have died in the war and so I decided that I will help the children who have the same problem. Lia, 15 years old. I am a lonely child. My parents died in the war. I have powers like disappearing and flying. Djalma, 24 years old. He has only one eye and this is why he can’t see well. He is very strong, this is why he has two swords. GENERAL MALO. He is cool, he is very strong and he is 31 years old.
  • 35. There are 4 horrified kids, Dodopil, Wizel, Djalma and Lia. These 4 kids do not have parents because they have died in the war, but after this, the kids couldn’t stand it anymore. Thus one night, those kids took some skin and sewed hero-uniforms, so that the next morning they went to tell the soldiers to stop, but they made fun of them and hit them. Thus the kids decided all together to help children without a family. Some children tried to go away with their families to be saved, but they were finally saved by these kids.
