Dear Sir/l4adam,
Ms. PUTRI, DEW1 KI{ARISM as an exchange student successfully acquired the credit of Speeial
Seminar V (Code #800053) that was held in spring semester 2015 at College of Agrobiological
Sciences, University of Tsukuba. This seminar includes the subjects of statistical analysis and
econometrics, and intensive lecture ofagricultural and forestry policies. The followings constituted of
each subject.
A) Introductory Econometrics and research discussion
This ie for learnings and exercises on basics of econometrics by using open source software'R'.
This covers basic theories of statistics and econometrics i-ncluding the issues of ordinary least
squares, hypothesis test, dummy variable, linear hlpothesis test (F-test) and exercises of
estimation by R.
And, on these basis of econometrics, the discussion was held on the quantitative analysis of
consumption behavior research introduced by a faculty member.
B) Lecture on international agrieulture and forestry policies
The topics are about the basic idea on agricultural-environmental policy issues and Japanese
agricultural policies among world food market situation.
The student ambitiously attended these subjects and participated the discussion well. Ifwe can assist
in the case any further information about the seminar is required, it would be our pleasure.
