App Rationale
1. Google Classroom: Classroom is essential because it will not only improve communication,
but also feedback, organization, and teamwork, in and outside of the classroom.
2. Socrative: This app would be an asset to the classroom because it promotes student
interest and engagement in an entirely new way, transforming learning into a positive
experience, thus increasing student independence and motivation.
3. TeacherKit: this app aids teacher organization and classroom structure, so that teachers
can spend less time organizing, and more time teaching and encouraging learning.
4. Class Dojo: This incredibly safe app is crucial to the classroom because it provides a whole
new dimension of tracking behavior, encouraging positive reinforcement, and
communicating and teaming with parents to support students.
5. Read Theory: Read Theory is essential because of its unique ability to accurately and
effortlessly assess student reading performance and progress, thus encouraging a love for
reading in all students.
App Rationale
6. SeeSaw -This app made the list because it is a fun and easy way for students to have digital
portfolios. This allows them to show what they know.
7. Kahoot! - This app made the list because it is a fun, engaging way for students to collaborate and
teachers to give immediate feedback. Teachers can reinforce curriculum standards while pushing
students to use higher order thinking skills.
8. Plickers - This app made the list because it allows teachers to use a platform for learning and
assessment and it just as a fun, engaging , and rigorous as other online platforms but it does not require
each student to have an electronic device.
9. BrainPop - This app made the list because of its engagement and content quality. Each lesson is fun
and encourages higher order thinking through questioning techniques. It offers assessments as the end
of each lesson as well, which provide immediate feedback.
10. NearPod - This app made the list because it is phenomenal. It allows teachers to use pre-made
lessons or to create your own and allows students and teacher to interact in real time on this platform. It
encourages collaboration, higher order thinking skills, and immediate feedback.

answers.
