Omega
Omega showcased one of its most
prized timepieces at Pre Basel 2015, the
Constellation Pluma. The coral-coloured dial
represents the halcyon days of summer, filled
with the warmth of sunshine. The timepiece
is decorated with 11 diamond indexes and
18-carat gold holders. A delicate wave
pattern, on the dial, gives the watch a soft,
feathery touch, to exude a youthful appeal.
The dial is enclosed by a red gold bezel
and the bracelet is coated with white Super-
LumiNova for better readability. The entire
wristwatch is paved with 32 full-cut diamonds.
Ulysse Nardin
In its latest addition to the brand’s most
beloved line, Caprice, Ulysse Nardin has
launched Caprice Queen of Hearts, a
timepiece designed to capture hearts at a
single glance. The timepiece comes in a
stainless steel bracelet in white gold and is
paved with diamonds that gleam across the
face of the dial and bracelet. Six delicate
hearts surround the dial with a diamond
between each of them. Perfect for the
quintessential femme fatal!

Bulgari
Celebrating its 40th anniversary this year,
Bulgari recreated timepieces from iconic
collections that were previewed at Pre-Basel
2015. Among these is the Bulgari Lucea,
which epitomises the youthful elegance the
house stands for. The beauty of the watch lies
in the elemental role played by the brilliant-
cut diamonds that find setting in the bezel,
the intervals of the white gold bracelet and
the hour markers of a silver satine soleil dial.
Jacquet Droz
Unveiling its latest collection, this year, is
Jacquet Droz with a line of watches titled
Sunstone, inspired by a sense of Italian
adventure. A “Pierre de soleil”, or a ‘Stone
of the Sun’, the timepiece holds an astral
magic, teamed with a Venetian refinement.
The dial possesses a singular radiance, with
specks of gold in an ember-like setting, which
evokes antiquity and a celestial quality. The
rose gold bezel is adorned with two streams
of diamonds and is held by a brown alligator
leather strap.
Hublot
Sensual and glamorous, contemporary
and traditional, Hublot’s latest timepiece is
an ode to the power of femininity. The Big
Bang Broderie connects the past with the
future, making it a creation that is youthful
and everlasting. It features a jacquard-
embroidered black silk strap and a stainless
steel case set with 198 diamonds. The
embroidery is done with carbon fiber and
silver wire. The timepiece pays homage to
the needlework of the days of yore while
preserving tradition in a contemporary
setting.

2. Cartier
Launched at the Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie 2015, the
Ballon Bleu de Cartier is part of a collection of limited editions that are
individually numbered. It comes in a rhodium-finish, 18-carat white gold
case, set with brilliant-cut diamonds that festoon the bracelet, bezel and
dial. The fluted crown is set with a sapphire cabochon. The dial is NAC-
treated in 18-carat white gold and is engraved with brilliant-cut diamonds
that light up the watch and give it the glittering appeal of a starry night.
Dior
This year, Dior marked the completion of the Dior VIII Montaigne ready-
to-wear wardrobe by launching three new timepieces in steel, set with
diamonds and decked in mother-of-pearl. The timepiece embodies Dior’s
emblematic values of a svelte silhouette, an architectural line and a
harmonious combination of the colours and watchmaking techniques that
define a Dior timepiece. The polished steel texture, with a luminous grey
tone, refined touches of pink gold and diamonds, the subtle iridescence
of mother-of-pearl and the elegant femininity that comes with a signature
Dior, make up this beautiful piece.
Breguet
The brand has reimagined a previous collection of watches, titled
Tradition. The new model, the Tradition Automatique Seconde Retrograde
7097, is an outstanding welcome into the year. The watch is inspired by
the ‘subscription watches’ and recalls the genius creation of Abraham-
Louis Breguet. The timepiece is a tribute to mechanism and tact by
revealing the bridges, wheels, escapement and other such components
of the wristwatch that are otherwise hidden beneath the baseplate. It
is adorned with trim embellishments and is a result of the technical and
aesthetic excellence that the brand prides itself in.
Carl F. Bucherer
The brand has launched a new line of watches titled Pathos Diva that resonate a
youthful charm and charisma of femininity. Created with precious materials like rose
gold and diamonds, combined with a unique design, the timepiece lends a touch of
divinity. The fascinating aspect of the watch is the aureole—a gleaming circle that
surrounds the case. Made of 18-carat rose gold, it creates a sublime interplay of light.
A circle of brilliant-cut diamonds transforms the bezel into a glittering frame for the dial.
Chanel
From their latest jewellery watch collection, Mademoiselle Prive, which was showcased
at Baselworld 2015, the Camelia Dial is a portal into the intimate world of Gabrielle
Chanel and reflects some of her most cherished symbols and objects. Featuring an
18-carat white gold case, the watch is set with 60 brilliant-cut diamonds, while the dial
has 330 brilliant-cut diamonds and a camellia floral motif in mother-of-pearl marquetry.
The bezel is accompanied by an onyx cabochon crown and a black satin bracelet.
De Grisogono
From among its latest launches at the Pre Basel 2015, de Grisogono’s Grappoli S06 is
set with rubies in different sizes, selected precisely for their colour and shape. The setting
creates a composition that can be described as rich and harmonious. The timepiece is
sculpted in rose gold and comprises 598 brilliant-cut and 70 briolette-cut rubies. The
dial is in a snow-setting with 256 rubies and rose gold dauphine hands. The bright
ruby red strap comes with a rose gold clasp set with 138 rubies.
