TODAY’S GENERATION OF MEDIA
CONSUMERS AND PRODUCERS
• WHO ARE MILLENIALS?
• Also called Gen Y or Generation Y,
“millennials” refers to individuals
who were born between the 1980s
and early 2000s. They follow
Generation X and are largely the
children of people who are part of the
baby boomers demographic cohort,
so millennials are also referred to as
echo boomers.
Millennials
were born into
a technological
world and came
of age in a new
millennium.
• This generation has
witnessed technological
growth and development. As
a result, they are considered
more progressive, creative
and far-thinking than earlier
generations.

•The selecting of someone or something over another
or others.
HABIT
•A recurrent, often unconscious pattern of behavior
