Profile of Skills & Abilities
• Maintain drilling fluids on varieties of mud systems including HTHP, OBM, WBM, Inhibitive and Non-Inhibitive Mud,
specialty systems including Potassium Silicate, Calcium Chloride Brine and Bitumen Encapsulation.
• Utilize logistical planning skills to ensure the well is supplied with material and services in a timely manner based on
anticipated conditions.
• Provide recommendations at the well site to maintain or change the drilling fluid based on customer requirements or mud
program recommendations.
• Formal training in colloidal and general chemistry, volume and hydraulics calculations.
• Provide ongoing support and problem solving skills to assist operations in providing customers the most cost effective,
environmentally safe drilling fluids available while optimizing the well-bore construction process and maximizing our
customer’s production.
• Able to provide excellent administrative abilities used to maintain mud log reports etc., computer literate individual who
is fully functional in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel while also able to quickly learns new and company specific
programs and databases
