Q: How will I get eCognition 8.64?
A: All users with a maintenance contract valid on December 2010 are entitled to eCognition 8.64 at no charge. The
eCognition license team automatically sent out licenses for all eligible customers via email. eCognition 8.64 is
available for download since December
New customers should contact eCognition sales at www.eCognition.com
Q: Can I run eCognition 8.64 on a 32-bit operating system?
A: eCognition Developer 8.64 will come in two editions a native 64-bit one and a 32-bit one. To run eCognition 8.64
on a 32-bit environment simply use the 32-bit edition. However, this will not allow you to benefit from the 64-bit
editions advantages and therefore you will not be able to generate billions of objects.
Q: Will eCognition Developer 8 still run if I install eCognition 8.64?
A: eCognition Developer 8 will also run on the new eCognition 8.64 license therefore you can switch between
version 8 and 8.64 any time.
Q: Will eCognition Developer 8 rule sets run on eCognition 8.64?
A: eCognition 8.64 is downward compatible, this means you can run all Developer 8 rule sets. eCognition 8.64 rule
sets will not work on Developer 8 however.

A: Yes, can find a trial version for eCognition 8.64 at http://www.ecognition.com/products/trial-software
