2. Masturbatory Interactant , 1996 Computer interactive kinetic sculpture and projected video installation. Inspired by Marcell Duchamp's ”The Large Glass”, 1926, a reproduction of “The Chocolate Grinder”, the drums of which are covered with laser barcodes. These are randomly scanned by a mechanized barcode reader selecting video imagery for projection upon a fan propelled, floating female part sex doll inside a clear vinyl enclosure.
3. Artist’s Mouse , 1998 – 2008 Mouse prosthetic device designed to physically map computer usage utilizing traditional drawing media. The “Artist’s Mouse” has been used to create a series of drawings and paintings mapping daily computer use (including the first projects incorporating computer gaming into my creative practice in 1998).
4. Howl: Star Trek Elite Force Voyager Online , 2001 First in a series of experimental online gaming performances. Connecting to this popular online first person shooter game as “Allen Ginsberg” to perform/read/type in it’s entirely Ginsberg’s seminal beat poem “Howl” using the ingame text messaging system (the performance took over 7 hours to complete).
5. Quake/Friends , 2003 Online gaming performance involving six gamers each connecting to the same Quake 3 Arena server. The group performed via the game’s text messaging system an entire episode from the popular television sitcom Friends . Monica, Chandler, Ross, Rachel, Phoebe and Joey performed live both ingame and before an audience at the Sheppard Fine Arts Gallery.
6. The Great Debates 3 – The Sims Online , 2004 Third in a series of performative reenactments immediately following each of the 2004 Bush vs. Kerry Presidential Debates. The first taking place in Battlefield Vietman , the second in Star Wars Jedi Knight Outcast.
7. East of Fallon – Highway 50 Nevada , 2003 Telematic installation featuring a meticulously recreated diorama of a section of Highway 50 created within the surface of a rotating kinetic sculpture. A networked video camera records a live image that simulates the effect of driving at night on this section of road of “the loneliest road in America”. The resulting image is both projected upon an adjoining wall of the gallery and fed live as streaming video to the internet.
8. dead-in-iraq , 2006 - ongoing Online gaming memorial/protest taking place in the defense department funded America’s Army FPS computer game. This intervention involves the use of the game’s text messaging system to physically type in the name, age, service branch and date of death of each U.S. military casualty from the war in Iraq.

10. America’s Diplomat , 2008 Fake website created as part of the fake NYTimes story “Popular America’s Army Video Game, Recruiting Tool Cancelled”. 11. iraqimemorial.org , 2007 - ongoing Online exhibition and open call for the posting of memorial concepts to the thousands of civilian casualties in the Iraq war. As of 2010 there are over 170 proposals and projects posted to the site. In 2009 selected works were featured in a physical exhibition of the project at the Sheppard Fine Arts Gallery at UNR. 12. The Salt Satyagraha Online – Gandhi’s March to Dandi in Second Life , 2008 Mixed reality, durational performance/reenactment of Gandhi’s famous 1930 protest march. A customized treadmill was utilized to translates propel my avatar Mgandhi throughout the confines of the online community of Second Life. 14. Mgandhi 1 and 2 , 2008 Three dimensional rapid-prototyped polymer sculptures created from the extracted data of my Mgandhi avatar. In the foreground is an 8” version painted white. In the background is a 12” version treated with gold leaf as show at the Guangzhou Triennial.
15. Cardboard Gandhi , 2008-2009 17’ tall cardboard sculpture, the third in a series as constructed for the “All That is Solid Melts into Air” exhibition, Mechelen, Belgium. This image is of the same sculpture as re-installed for ISEA ‘09 Belfast. The first cardboard Gandhi was created and shown at Eyebeam in NYC, the second was created at the Guangdong Museum of Art, China.
16. Twitter Torture – Mgandhi in Jail , 2009 - 2010 From May 5, 2009- January 26th, 2010 I reenacted Gandhi’s post-Salt March prison term. Mgandhi Chakrabarti was held in a recreation in Second Life of the jail cell at the Puna Jail for 9 months, 24/7. Beginning July 4 th , 2009, Mgandhi began daily “readings” from the Bush era “torture memos”. These readings were manually typed into local chat then fed from Second Life to my twitter and facebook accounts. To commemorate his release, a day long, telematic music festival was held.
