4. INVENTORS OF SKYPE Niklas Zennström born in Sweden in 1966 has dual degrees in Engineering Physics and Business Administration. He was hired to work in Tele2. One of his early tasks was to go to Denmark to build an Internet Service Provider (ISP) business in 1997. Janus Friis was born in 1976 in Copenhagen, Denmark. Though no formal education, at age 19, he began working at the help desk at the Danish ISP called Cybercity. In 1997, he applied for a job at Tele2. when Niklas Zennström was forming the Danish start-up team and was hired.

10. APPLICATION Skype is easily accessible and would be a very applicable learning device to use as a communication and teaching tool. Skype could be used effectively at very low cost for distance education. Small or large groups could participate from a variety of locations and the ability to see and speak to each other would only add to the richness of the discussion.
