David Chieng is currently the head of Location-based technology research in MIMOS focusing on Indoor Positioning, Navigation & Tracking. While in MIMOS he has successfully completed 2 national funded research projects on HetNet and rural wireless broadband. Prior, he spent 4 years in British Telecom (BT Innovate & Design) leading the Broadband Wireless Access research group focusing on BT Wireless Cities initiative. From 2008-2010 he led a work package in EU ICT FP7 Carrier Grade Wireless Mesh Network project. From 1997-98, he worked on a European EPSRC Cordless Access to Multimedia Applications project.
