The way we learn to make deliberate decisions and engage in deliberate actions that best serve our interests and truly reflect our intent is based upon an intricate construct made up of who we are, what we believe in, what values we hold, what goals we aim for and the environment we find ourselves in. We cannot lead people nor manage people if we are incapable of leading and managing our self. Success in business is intimately linked to self mastery. Business leaders and managers who fail the "good character" test, invariably end up doing badly and failing the businesses they lead and the people they manage. Each of us, as an individual, is the fundamental unit out of which businesses start up and economies are built. We owe it to ourselves and the world we want to see coming into existence to be our best self possible.
