build a classic
gothic revival
church, which
was not
pretentious
enough
Villar refused
to build
something
different

Gaudi
began to
work only
after a year

building,

At a certain
moment he
stopped
and decide
to change
the design
completely
Design
was more
complicate

money and

The clients
refused to

So Gaudi was

construction
He increased the
height from 120 to
170 meters

Gaudi let go his salary, then started to invest his own money
