2. CRAFT BREWING, PACKAGING
AND SERVICE OPERATIONS
CERTIFICATE
• GRCC will prepare students with courses
that include extensive hands-on laboratory
and operational experiences in our student-
operated brewing company and tap room.
Our comprehensive program also includes
fieldwork experiences and an internship at a
brewery or brewing-related operation.
Course topics include brewing, fermentation
principles, packaging, labeling,
merchandising, marketing and operations
management — including laws and tax
regulations — and much more.
3. HARMONY BREWING
COMPANY
• Thanks to the internship program,I have been able to
get more hands on experience outside of the classroom. I
have been able to reach out to Harmony Brewing and
have real time training with head brewers at both the
Harmony Hall and Eastown locations. Because of this
opportunity, I not only have knowledge using the
classrooms 3.5 BBL system but now also the 5 and 10-BBL
systems as well. I have become very efficient in CIP & SIP
cleaning routines. Understand that there are more than
one way of running through a task filled day is nothing
less than important.
4. PERSONAL RESUME
I am proud of what I have been able to
accomplish in this past year. Although I can not
list what others can, I can say that I’m fresh in my
skills and can not wait to continue meeting
mentors throughout the brewing community and
defining my name.
