2. The experience with this project was a very good opportunity for us in the
moment that we are because we have been leaning many things that will be
very useful in the future.
At the beginning I thought that the experience would be difficult for me because
I didn’t have idea about how to teach,in special a boy who has my same age
and I think teach in a different language isn’t easy for me because I was like a
teen teacher so first I felt really nervous but at the same time happy because it
was an opportunity for me and for he.
The first day that I worked with him I asked he some questions about personal
information for start to have confidence and when he answered I saw that he
knew a lot so it wasn’t difficult for me because he understood me very well but
in some cases I had to correct he some mistakes in the pronunciation, I
diagnosed that him weaknesses was good because although I’m in seniors he
could answer me very good and he used correctly the grammar when he asked
me questions too.
All the classes we had to do different activities for them, any activity if we
wanted about grammar, listening, writing or a game. The first activity that I did
was an activity for complete, I choose the “future with will and would” because
he has said me that sometimes he had problems when he used the future and
in the internet I searched some activities with future and he did it really well. The
second activity was about job vocabulary, I found some funny exercises where
he could learn new words and the meanings so he had to complete the
sentences with the correct vocabulary and matched them with others to
complete the sentences. The last was a listening activity; he had to listen two
songs and complete the lyrics. I think the most difficult thing in learn English is
the listening and in this he wasn`t good, he spent much time doing this exercise.
That day he told me about his family and his problems so I apologized he and
thanked for always be a patient person and helped me in this experience.
I think Alejandro improved his English learned new vocabulary, asked me for
grammar, did the tests and the most important thing he has had a young
teacher with who he could talk and practice the language because I was like a
personal tutor who improved the interest in English.
The project meant for me and for them a growth opportunity because I could
share my knowledge and I put all my energy to also had given a good image to
him, I could know new people and interacted with them because if maybe I
would be a teacher this experience is a form that shows and prepares a person
who wants to teach.I want that in the future if he could see me he said that I
was a very good teacher when he was learning English and the expectative was
give them a different time to study with activities, people, and places out of the
routine. I really felt very happy and comfortable doing this project that Colombo
assigned us for the last level, Thanks.
