SUMMARY OF EXPERIENCE
2013-2016 Brion Energy Corporation: Site Wide Services Coordinator for Road Maintenance, Borrow Pit
development and excavation, camps, bussing, all consumables(water, sewer, natural gas,
propane, fuel, waste management, courier service) to support the construction of the SAGD
facility as well as Winter Drilling and SAGD Drilling programs. Collaborate with management
to reduce an annual budget of $100M plus while improving site services.
Road Maintenance programs were developed to effectively improve road quality while
decreasing maintenance costs substantialy (35-40%/year. Coordinating effective
management and training of crews, as well as selection of better aggregates and dust
suppressant products road quality was enhanced to minimize maintenance requirements.
2009-2013 Cenovus Energy Inc, Construction supervisor: Pad design, optimization, and construction at
Christina Lakes and Foster Creek. Upgrade, widen and paving of the Ken Baker Road in to
the Cold Lake Air Weapons Range. Develop soil stabilization procedures utilizing Quicklime
(CaO). Coordinating the winter access project for Birch Field NW of Fort Mckay.
2004-2009 Supervised construction operations for Gibraltar Exploration Ltd. Dealt with all phases of
designing, surveying, applying for and constructing access roads and wellsites. Many of the
50+ wellsites and accesses were in difficult terrain where others had not drilled due to Govt
restrictions. 30+ kms of high grade access as well as 40+kms of restricted access were
created. Much of this was accomplished by developing an excellent relationship with
Regulatory bodies.
2003-2004 Invasion Energy Froze in 105 km of access on the East side of the Peace River. We were in
a month earlier than anyone had gotten in before and at half of the anticipated budget from
the last few years. Forestry very happy with the clean bridges and snow fills.
1999-2002 Supervised construction operations for Penn West Petroleum on their Wildboy Project in Helmet BC
Received a letter of commendation from the BC Oil & Gas Commission for our practises. We
constructed and drilled 105 wells on this project. Worked closely with Geology when surveying and
moved the majority of wells for a construction cost saving of about $30,000.00 per well the last
season.
1997-1999 Supervised construction operations for Blue Range in BC for 3 drilling rigs and access for 4-5
service rigs. Started taking responsibility for upgrading and maintaining the existing production
roads. The people, equipment and procedures are now utilized by the production people on an
2. ongoing basis.
This same year, Blue Range started using invert–drilling methods in the BC Beg area. Over the next
year, as I became involved with the cost control and environmental management, we brought these
costs down to less than half of their original. Designed and set up a system of land farms for handling
the invert wastes.
1996-1997 Provided assistance planning, designing and engineering the Tommy Lakes Project for Blue
Range(39 km of road and 5 well sites). Completed ($3.5 million) project cost efficiently in adverse
conditions.
1994-1995 Started consulting full time in North East BC for Blue Range Resources. Responsible for constructing
leases and access roads for up to 4 drilling and 6 to 7 service rigs at one time.
1989-1994 Reclamation work with own Environmental company (Trufax Environmental Services Ltd). Excellent
references for cost effective and efficient results in obtaining reclamation certificates.
1975-1988 Owned and operated Lochhead Contractors Ltd., an oilfield construction company.
