I am the GBIF Node Manager for Norway employed at the Natural History Museum at the University of Oslo. My role is as national biodiversity data coordinator - since 2012. Database engineer at the Nordic Gene Bank in 1999 and took over the responsibility for the IT department in 2002 supervising a team of 3 to 4 staff members. The Nordic Gene Bank was reorganized in 2008 as the Nordic Genetic Resources Center (NordGen). I spent one year (2005-2006) at the Bioversity International headquarters in Rome (Italy). Employed as scientist at Bioversity between 2007 and 2010. Knowledge System Engineer at the Global Biodiversity Information Facility (GBIF) in Copenhagen 2011-2012.
