24. Pro Database Search Tips
• Always view Long or Full Format
• Use truncation/stemming in NL searches
• Always use Boolean operators to combine terms
• Favor Default Fields in NL/KW searches
• Ungrammatical NL phrases are highly improbable,
leading to zero or too few results, e.g., “parent
classroom” [an author would not write that phrase]
• AU= is a Browse mode search: e.g., Jacso, P
