2. Turning a Garbage Pit into a Play Ground
“Money makes many things, but not all things”.
The students of Government Boys Higher Secondary School, Musiri
felt this when we completed our project of turning a Garbage Pit into a
Beautiful Eco-Friendly Play Ground. Environmental Pollution has been a
great challenge in today’s world. So when this project was entrusted to us
we choose this topic.

3. This Photo depicts the sad state of affairs regarding environmental
pollution.
The sight of this garbage heap irritates every one a lot waiting for an
opportunity to discard the garbage.

4. Changing this place into a playground is possible within a week.

5. By cleaning this place Air pollution and Land pollution can be
controlled there by making this place playable.

6. Wealth out of waste:
1. Glass pieces to protect our Home
2. Paper for making Paper Boxes which are used to store
Vegetables and grains etc.

7. Students discuss among themselves to bring about the change.

8. Two pits were dug, one for degradable garbage and another
one for Gradable garbage.

9. Plastic bags with water stagnated on it made as think that this
water cannot penetrate into the soil.

10. Natural manure – to the prepared from degradable garbage and
used to the School garden.

11. Glass Bottles separated from the garbage used to safeguard
the nearby Homes from burglary.

12. Paper collected from the garbage used to make paper boxes
with the help of our Guide teacher.

13. Collecting plants which are useful with the help of our botany
teacher from the garbage heap and Planting it in our School campus.

14. Unwanted plants are put in the degradable pit to use as manure.

15. Outcomes
1. Eco-friendly play ground
2. Mental satisfaction
3. Safety from unwanted creatures
4. Pollution controlled
5. Without involving money, things are possible in this world.
