Globalization and increased technology use have led to loneliness among elderly villagers as younger generations spend less time with them. Students at a primary school in Harvar ki dhani village decided to address this by having the elderly share their stories and folk songs. The students wrote these down and shared them with each other. This made the elderly feel respected and happy, solving the problem of loneliness. It also bridged generational gaps and brought the elderly to the school regularly to spend time with their grandchildren. Preserving these cultural traditions through the stories ensures they will not be lost to future generations.
