Providers do not need to set one price for their products but can use the marketplace to skim
the consumer’s willingness to pay:

Revenues are defined as price multiplied with quantity. Being forced to set one price for a virtual machine limits
revenues, as the quantity (utilization) equals the amount of customers willing to pay the price. The ability to offer the
same resources in a price range will increase utilization: Customers willing to pay a higher price will do so and price
sensitive customers are not excluded - they buy for the lower price.
In addition to varying prices by quantity, the DBCE pricing engine enables varying prices over time. Providers can set
different prices to address seasonal fluctuation, e.g. decrease prices for the upcoming weekend(s) or increase prices
during Christmas season.
