COURSE OUTCOMES
At the end of the course, the students should be able to:-
1. Identify land/site preparation requirement
2. Prepare land/site preparation tools, equipment and materials
3. Carry out pegging and setting out work
4. Carry out hoarding installation
COURSE DESCRIPTION
Land/Site Preparation consists of clearing away the trees, debris, rubbish, etc, relocating obstructions and levelling the platform area from
building site, doing whatever rough grading that is necessary, and staking the house location in preparation for installation of the footings and
foundation.
The person who is competent in land/site preparation should be able to identify land/site preparation requirement, prepare land/site preparation
tools, equipment and materials, carry out pegging and setting out work, carry out hoarding installation, perform site clearing work, coordinate
land/site preparation inspection and perform foundation activities.
The outcome of this competency is to ensure the land/site is prepared and qualified for any and all construction works in accordance to the construction
drawing
