Construction activities for the Eglinton Crosstown LRT are ongoing between O'Connor Station and Kennedy Station. Shelter installations are complete at some stops, while concrete works and rebar installations are ongoing at other stops. Overhead power cable installations will require short road closures. Roadwork and utility relocations are continuing between Ionview Road and Kennedy Road. At Kennedy Station, structural work and system installations are ongoing with all work scheduled to be complete by late 2020. Traffic changes are planned at Kennedy Station for October 2020.

4. OCS CABLE INSTALLATION ON EGLINTON AVE AT
HAKIMI AND WARDEN AVENUE INTERSECTIONS

• Crews will be installing OCS (Overhead Catenary
System) cables along Eglinton Avenue East
between Hakimi/Lebovic and Warden Avenue.
• Overhead catenary is the system installed overtop
of the rails of a light rail system, to provide
operational power to the LRVs (Light Rail Vehicles).
• A 15-minute closure of each intersection will be
required as the high rail vehicle passes through the
intersections.
• Paid duty officers will be onsite nightly to assist with
traffic management.

• Crews will be performing road works within the
four corners of the Eglinton Ave East and
Kennedy Road intersection.
• A shared through and right turn lane will be
implemented for northbound and southbound
traffic at the intersection.
• Periodic crosswalk closures will be required to
complete the work. A minimum of three
crosswalks will be maintained all times. Signage
will be installed directing pedestrians to available
crosswalks.

Traffic Details:
• Vehicles entering Transway Crescent will not be permitted
beyond the Kennedy Station Passenger Pick-Up and south
parking lot access points.
• Signal timing will be changed at Kennedy Road as well as the
North and South Service Road to accommodate these changes.
• Right turn from eastbound lane on Eglinton and left turn from
westbound lane on Eglinton onto South Service Rd will be
prohibited.
• Left turn from eastbound lane on Eglinton onto North Service Rd
will be prohibited.
• Traffic entering South Service Road will be restricted to TTC
vehicles only.
15. GO WEST PLATFORM RELOCATION AND PEDESTRIAN DETOUR

• As part of GO Transit improvements at
Kennedy GO Station, crews at Kennedy
Station will be temporarily relocating the
west GO Transit platform as early as August
17, 2020.
• Pedestrians will be rerouted through the
Kennedy TTC Station
• This configuration will remain in place for
approximately one year.
