Manage everyday or shocks to the system automation
Process description: Process of copying the photos made by the towing company, with the damaged cars, to the claims system, so that those photos can be used during the claim processing, as part of documentation.
The insurance company managed to create a new process by using RPA, a process which allows re-using the pictures taken by towing companies in case of accidents, for the claim processing. By doing this, the company saves money, by not having to hire new agents to take the pictures. The implementation of a non-RPA solution was promised in 3 years, while the RPA implementation took 15 days to be production-ready.
A robot searches for new claims in the Claims system. If new claims are available, the robot checks for photos in the Assistance platform, and if they exist, it will copy them to the Claims Business system. The execution finishes, by updating the status in Kibana, for further reporting.
