CREAGRI’S PROPRIETARY INTEGRALE™ PROCESS • CreAgri is the first company to utilize olive juice to capture Hydroxytyrosol. • We grow our own organic olives on our Rancho Supremo olive ranch in Northern California’s Sacramento Valley and we press them in our nearby processing facility in Hayward, California immediately after they arrive. • Because Hidrox is produced from olive juice rather than olive oil, it has 100-300 times higher concentrations of Hydroxytyrosol than extra virgin olive oil. 100-300 times . • Imagine the health benefits of this polyphenol powerhouse. Olive oil has been studied in humans in dosages that mimic what is present in the Mediterranean diet. Hidrox provides far greater concentrations of the key ingredient, hydroxytyrosol, without the calories or fat of olive oil. • CreAgri, in a joint effort with other Italian scientists, has developed a proprietary process for recovering hydroxytyrosol from organic olives. We call this process Integrale, which, in Italian, means whole or complete. Step 1 • In the first step of the Integrale process, we remove the pits from the pulp of organic olives and separate the polyphenolic-rich juice from the extra virgin olive oil. • Normally, olive oil production involves crushing olives, including the pits, to produce a thick paste that’s mechanically pressed to squeeze out the oil content. Unfortunately, the pits contain substances that are of a polluting nature, so any olive water derived from traditional olive oil production is actually a waste product that has to be treated and disposed of accordingly. • By first removing the pits before we press our olives, both the olive oil and the olive juice we recover are completely free of pit impurities . Step 2 • In the second step, we process the olive juice with citric acid, which has a pH of 3.5. • This treatment has two benefits: First , it allows us to obtain the highest concentration of Hydroxytyrosol possible. That’s because citric acid helps release hydroxytyrosol from its precursor oleuropein and other large molecules, making it available for absorption. Second , the citric acid protects against polymerization and fermentation. If left untreated, olive water undergoes rapid polyphenol polymerization and microorganism fermentation. Once treated with citric acid, though, olive water can be stored at room temperature for several years without degradation. • When you consider that 50% or more of the olive’s weight is due to the olive water, and when you consider that just 1cc of olive water contains the amount of polyphenols present in 6-8 oz. of olive oil, you start to see the possibilities of Hidrox. • The Integrale method that CreAgri uses to produce Hidrox is protected by two US patents. In fact, CreAgri is the first company in 2,000 years to redefine processes in the olive industry! We’ve also received a composition of matter patent for the formulation of Hidrox, and have filed additional patent applications. • The next series of slides will show you the Integrale process with photos taken in our Hayward facility.

HIDROX IS: • Hidrox has a number of benefits. First, it’s Safe: • CreAgri has initiated a number of preclinical trials to assess the safety of Hidrox and it has been found to be completely non-toxic. Second, it’s Bioavailable : • Bioavailability is defined as: “that fraction of an oral dose from a particular preparation that reaches the systemic circulation.” A substance can have powerful antioxidant effects in a Petri dish, but if it’s not bioavailable then it doesn’t matter. • Hidrox has an incredible 99% absorption rate in an olive oil solution, and a 75% absorption in an aqueous solution. (Tuck, KL et al. J Nutrition 2001, 131:1993-6) Third, it’s Permeable: • That means it can permeate the tissues of the body to deliver its antioxidant protection. Hydroxytyrosol levels can be readily measured shortly after ingestion. • Because hydroxytyrosol is a water and lipid-soluble molecule, it provides dual-phase antioxidant protection. Water-soluble antioxidants protect the cellular fluids of the body. Fat-soluble antioxidants protect the cellular membranes. Hidrox does both. Fourth, it’s Powerful: • Hydroxytyrosol has a higher ORAC value than any other antioxidant in the world. It is the most powerful antioxidant ever discovered. Since so many diseases are now attributed to oxidative stress, Hidrox holds great potential for human health. Fifth, it’s Research-backed: • As we’ve just seen, numerous studies support Hidrox’s efficacy.
