Telecommunications Construction Supervisor Shell Carmon Creek
Hired by PCS and imbedded into shell as an IT construction supervisor for Shell’s capital project in
Peace River, Alberta Carmon Creek Project. My job description is to oversee all aspects of IT
construction from early works to permanent build.
 Overseeing the RF point to point and point to multipoint deployment throughout the site to remote
construction trailers.
 Managing the Motorola 2-way radio installation and deployment of radios to construction leads
throughout the project. Reviewing GEN WATCH reports, reporting usage to upper management
 Reviewing the Fiber optic design and documenting possible problems and concerns to appropriate
engineers. Once the Build begins I will be overseeing the construction of all fiber throughout the
site.
 Supervising the contractor responsible for the installation of the voice and data builds throughout the
site. This includes all data drops, wireless Access Points , communication cabinet install and cisco
switches in the Camp, Construction management trailer and all other remote trailers around the site

Fiber Optics Project Manager Republic of Madagascar
Initially engaged by Northwest Technologies (Oct 2010-June 2012) to project manage the installation
and testing of all fiber optics installed at the largest nickel/cobalt mine and refinery in the world, before
accepting a role to manage the subsequent maintenance of the equipment with Sherritt International
(Sept 2012-Mar 2013).
 Delivered inspirational leadership and training to a crew of 6 local technicians with limited technical
abilities in the installation and testing of all fiber optics throughout the plant.
 Successfully installed, terminated and tested over 400 fiber optic cables, installed and commissioned
100 IP CCTV cameras, and facilitated the construction of additional Communications buildings as
needed to cope with the expanding scope of the project.
 Created mock scenarios on a daily basis to demonstrate operational activities crew members would
be involved with on that day, delivered instruction, and monitored progress.
 Oversaw the installation and maintenance of VICON IP CCTV camera system, installed the Leeker
Feeder radio system, and maintained the Linel access control system and Motorola radio system.
 Carefully tracked expenses, provided on-the-job supervision to crew members, delivered progress
reports to senior management, and ensured activities were conducted in a timely manner.
