The power control module (PCM) regulates the operation of your Audi A3 fuel pump through a relay. If the relay goes bad, your car's fuel pump won't be able to convey fuel from the tank to the engine. It would cause all sorts of drivability issues. So, if your Audi A3 is exhibiting symptoms of fuel pump relay failure, call your mechanic to get it replaced.
