Grading Scale
In accordance with JCS policy, the grading scale
below is used in all courses.
A   =     93-100
B   =     85-92
C   =     77-84
D   =     70-76
F   =     Less than 70
   Each semester is made up of two quarter grades
    and a final exam grade

   Each teacher weighs assignments differently
    depending on task (e.g. homework, class
    assignment, quiz, test)

   For most subjects, tests carry a greater weight

   Homework
    ◦ Homework is assigned on a regular basis
    ◦ No such thing as “no homework”
   Students are responsible for obtaining make-
    up work after an absence. Check teachers’
    websites for homework.

   Students should follow the make-up
    procedures outlined for each class
   CHHS offers a variety of
    extracurricular, co-curricular, and athletic
    organizations.

   Clubs hold their meetings during SMART
    lunch or after school.

   Students will be able to explore the different
    clubs and sign up every year.

  • 10. Grading Scale In accordance with JCS policy, the grading scale below is used in all courses. A = 93-100 B = 85-92 C = 77-84 D = 70-76 F = Less than 70

Each semester is made up of two quarter grades and a final exam grade  Each teacher weighs assignments differently depending on task (e.g. homework, class assignment, quiz, test)  For most subjects, tests carry a greater weight  Homework ◦ Homework is assigned on a regular basis ◦ No such thing as “no homework”
  • 12. Students are responsible for obtaining make- up work after an absence. Check teachers’ websites for homework.  Students should follow the make-up procedures outlined for each class
  • 13. CHHS offers a variety of extracurricular, co-curricular, and athletic organizations.  Clubs hold their meetings during SMART lunch or after school.  Students will be able to explore the different clubs and sign up every year.
