Testing Capabilities
Fenner Precision owns a well-equipped testing laboratory
that can simulate the environment of an ATM. Our on-site
laboratory includes facilities for:
Rheology testing
Hardness testing
Tensile testing
We are also able to simulate an extended belt life cycle with
our environmentally controlled dynamic testing chamber.
This chamber has a temperature range of -400C to +700C.
The pulley setup from our long term
StretchBand testing equipment. It
simulates the convoluted path a
belt may take in a cash machine. An
eccentric pulley replicates a stack of
notes passing through.

Comparison of Tension at Different Temperatures
InstalledTension v.Temperature (-100C to +200C)
As the temperature
varies so does the
tension on the
competitor’s belt,
whereas the Fenner
Precision StretchBand
tension remains
relatively constant.
Excessive tension
variation can lead to
slipping and tracking
issues.

InstalledTension v. Relative Humidity (50% to 100%)
As the humidity varies
so does the tension on

tension remains
relatively constant.

issues.

Improved tension characteristics across a wide range of temperatures and
humidities when compared to competitors’polyurethane belts.
Fenner Precision EPDM StretchBands operate between -200C and +500C. At
-100C the flexibility of the competitor’s belts was poor.
Enhanced tracking capabilities compared to competitors’polyurethane belts.
Fenner Precision StretchBands don’t require tensioners; enabling simpler, more
cost-effective design systems.
