“We lift ourselves by our thought. If you want to enlarge your life, you must first enlarge
you thought of it and of yourself. Hold the ideal of yourself as you long to be, always
everywhere.”

Career Summary and Goals
A versatile, reliable, and efficient nursing faculty member with 25+ years of clinical
experience and expertise in Women’s health, including Labor & Delivery, Intra -partum, Post-partum,
Newborn nursery, Pediatrics and teaching in an Associate Degree Nursing Program.
This nurse is a supportive, proficient team player in the field and science of Nursing. Diverse
skills include patient, staff, and student resources, recruiting, project management, and
administrative support as well as others. I have great telephone skills, create learning teams
and learning environments; encouraging and facilitating communication among peers, faculty
and facilities. I am professional, creative, and flexible, combined with analytical skills. I
demonstrate professional integrity and accountability among peers, staff and students so that
they will possess moral and clinical accountability. I see myself five years from now in
Academia and teaching in a BSN or MSN program.
My goals include those areas in my life where I want to be in the future. Becoming a
nurse first began back in the 1980s when I began to have a desire to assist and manage people
in the nursing home setting. I accomplished the task of becoming a CNA and a CMA in the
nursing home and wanted to make a difference in their quality of care. My goals will be with
me for as long as I am a nurse and can a difference in the life of others where that would be

peers, colleagues, staff, schools, and students. One of my most important goals is to attain core
characteristics that define a successful nurse in all the fields of nursing science that I intend to
endeavor in my lifetime. My second goal is to commit myself to lifelong learning and be able to
share that goal with others. Third, I want to provide ongoing community service to those in
need of medical assistance. Fourth, I want to teach as long as humanly possible in the field of
Academia and instruct the student in the fields of my expertise and allow them to choose
accountability and professionalism in the field of nursing. Fifth, I would like to develop a theory
for Women’s health that incorporates holistic nursing in the infant, child, mother, parent and
partner role. This will assist with the nursing process of well mothers and children and sick
children and the trials that they endure in their lifetime. My motto is “If I can please one
person, patient, staff, colleague or student per day by answering questions or teaching them
something, then my job as a nurse has been fulfilled.”
My philosophy is to obtain a better society that understands women’s health and their
issues for the betterment of their health. To live life to teach and make better nurses who are
able to function in the working world.
