In honour of the creator of this franchise, a town was named after
the character X who was also used by the Japanese Government to
promote crime awareness amongst children. Having one of the
longest anime and manga serialisations, the protagonist is well
known for his reasoning skills and his excessive popularity has
resulted in mascots and even a train station named after him.
Coincidentally, on discovering the popularity of X, an american
talk show host, who even appeared as himself on The Simpsons,
jokingly demanded compensation from the creators for
impersonating him. His statement was later retracted after a
truce was achieved-by means of hamburgers.
Identify X and the entertainer. (5+5)

In an interview with Larry King, an English celebrity talked about the late 80s when he
was holidaying in Italy and an English friend of his hunted the hunter himself by his
very own creation, albeit in a different way. Rather embarrassed, he wrote an email to
his friend and later confronted him about the same on call as well. According to him,
“If you look back at video clips of somebody getting married or some college thing you
did, most people would be embarrassed by that too. But if you put 25 years on
something like that, it gets interesting.”
The trend has extended to disruptive or humorous appearances of the celebrity and his
particular creation in other situations, such as a live appearance of himself in the
2008 Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York and his creation cameo in South
Park Season 20.

Lew (from Unbox Therapy) described this product as a "social media hoax". It
came as a shock to Lew and many other folks, when the company officially
announced that they intend to make this product.
Its most unique feature is a specialised chamber, a drawer that opens to reveal a
compartment for storing and warming food. It is powered by an Intel NUC 9
Extreme Compute Element and has been “forged from the fires” of this brand’s
ovens. Prospective users have been assured that “there has never been a tastier
way to experience the latest titles in stunning 4k, 240fps”

The name of this well studied gene arose when fruit fly embryos with mutations of this
gene, were seen to be covered with small pointy projections. Among the three
homologues of this gene in mammals, one was named after a widely popular
anthropomorphic video game character. First seen in a 1991 arcade racing game, this
character soon emerged as an icon with several spin off comic books, anime and other
media spin.
ID the name of this gene.
A particular extracellular matrix-like retinal protein was first discovered in 2008 by a

In march 2021, a popular personality took to instagram to start a mock movement. Many
interpreted this as a call for social liberation of caucasian men, allowing them to act and
dress in ways that make them feel most comfortable. After posting a video in which he
launched the idea, many mocked the idea, arguing that such men are not in need of
liberation.
As usual, this gave birth to a flurry of memes mocking the movement, particularly
where people theorised what this movement would actually look like, using reference
pictures from popular culture.

Down below is a review for _______ Racer from The Slate, it was a game made by an
IT company and a British-owned travel agency that arranges tours for a particular city:
“…is just depressing. One of the very few objectives is to collect barrels of petrol—so
your car can keep running...I experienced some Western tourist guilt while cruising for
fuel. Moreover, there are absolutely no people to be seen in the game...Combined with
the computerized, propaganda-sounding music, the game is at best eerie...because of its
isolation and peculiarities, people can’t seem to get enough of the game. The site has
had trouble staying up, even going down in the middle of my gaming. I have yet to
complete a full drive through virtual city of _______, and somehow, that seems apt.”

Steepling is when characters intertwine their hands together and put them around chest
or mouth level, often indicating that they’re plotting something sinister. While in
cinematic convention, this action is almost always associated with villains, according to
Joe Navarro, a former FBI agent, it is "probably the most powerful display of confidence that
we possess."
In the anime world, this action is attributed to an iconic anime antagonist, who happens
to be an irresponsible and dictatorial father and ambitious commander of an
organisation.

This horror game was initially released as a demo under the name of a fake studio. It received
praise for its gameplay, which involved the protagonist solving puzzles in a looping corridor
from a first-person perspective.Upon completion, the game reveals itself as a sneak peak for
the sequel of a highly popular franchise in its genre,a collaboration between a renowned
Japanese game designer and an Academy Award-winning Mexican fantasy filmmaker.
The game is packed with several easter eggs, including an in-game radio broadcast in Swedish
referencing H.G Wells’ ‘The War of The Worlds’,an allusion to the franchise tradition of secret
endings involving aliens.
The much-awaited sequel, however, ended up being cancelled due to disputes between the
designer and the publisher, leaving fans disappointed.

Featured here is a screengrab of a Reddit AMA of an actor explaining how he’s
subconsciously played characters that go by the same name (or variants) on 8 occasions.
The ninth such instance arrived last year in a different field of entertainment.
Where have you last seen a character named so portrayed by this actor?
The same actor had been a fan-favourite to play the lead role in the live-action
adaptation of an anime from over two decades ago. By the time the live-action
adaptation was announced, the actor was deemed too old for the role. Another actor
(pictured in the next slide) who shares his first name with the character [in the previous
para] signed up instead. However, fans were quick to point out that the actor might still
have to chance to make an appearance in the anime, drawing parallels to a villain from
the anime’s movie spin-off.

In a study of adults who played a specific kind of video game extensively as children,
Penn and Stanford researchers discovered that a particular area of the visual cortex
lights up when players view characters from the original version.
The brains of the players of this game have a part of the brain dedicated to processing
the visuals; in non-players, this region responded to animals, cartoons, and words.
What was unique about this game is that there are hundreds of characters, and one has
to know everything about them in order to play the game successfully. This explains the
development of the afore-mentioned region in the brain.

This mission attracted controversy upon release because of its gameplay
mechanics, which allowed players to partake in a massacre. The game’s lead designer
wanted the mission to serve as the catalyst for the plot, aiming to create an emotional
connection between the player and the main antagonist. Its presence in the game led to
censorship in several parts of the world, including a total ban in the country the mission
takes place in.
The mission’s title comes from the instructions the main antagonists gives to his squad,
telling them to refrain from speaking in a particular language so as to not give their
identities away

Looking up these ‘memetic’ coordinates pops up a field from Nebraska set to host a one

The occurrence of a major event during the development of Metal Gear Solid 2 led to
several changes in the game's story and its ending. Two scenes depicting the destruction
of a major city landmark had to be removed and the Japanese spelling of the
protagonist's name was written in Kanji instead of Katakana, since the spelling was
strikingly similar to the name of a person the game developers did not want their
character to be associated with, especially at that time.

This visual novel turned trilogy game series, “Muv-Luv”
follows the protagonist Takeru Shirogane, and starts off as
a light-hearted romantic comedy with a Nisekoi like plot
where players are given a chance to choose whom they
should romance. The subsequent sequels of the game take
us to a dystopian setting, where our protagonist realises
that he is in an alternate timeline and that his planet is
subject to an alien invasion. In order to fight these
invaders, specialised mecha are employed. In the final part
of the trilogy, Takeru realises that he is sent back in time
and must save humanity from these dreadful creatures.

X is a MOBA game which was released in 2016 and went on to become one of the most
successful mobile games. In 2018, X was sued by the creators of Y (backed by Tencent)
for blatant plagiarism. The character description, abilities, maps had many similarities.
The lawsuit which started in California and ended in Shanghai, went in favour of Y and
the creators of X had to pay Y a settlement of $2.9 Million.

counter the popularity of X, Y is also releasing their own mobile game later this year.

Far fetched and unreasonable, this scheme was met with scepticism from the very start.
According to historians, the effectiveness of this plan was limited by the fact that there
were no proper property laws in place and thus very little property available for
purchase, since most land holdings were governed by indigenous law.
Further complicating the situation was that even if there was land that could be leased,
an applicant would have to go through several government checks to be granted
permanent residency, something that would be near impossible for a group of wanted
fugitives. Blending in with the populace would be difficult, since foreigners would stick
out like sore thumbs in a society that was relatively close knit at the turn of the 20th
century. Improbable as the plan was, it just might have worked if they had a little faith.

At first glance, it may resemble an abstract art experiment reminiscent of the Dada
movement (rebranded as the shit-posting era of social media). Almost every
sample taken at random from this ‘grid’ is consistently absurd, but reveals a
layered relevance on closer examination. An enigma for PR companies, what is
being talked about?
