- In November 2015 OPC surveyed membership from this survey among the top issues to address as outlined by membership Came four things Awareness of profession by government Awareness of the profession by third party payers Competition from outside the profession Government regulations of the profession It really brought forth the questions of where we were headed….
- The topic I wanted to discuss today is…. What does this word mean? Google defines En croach ment as: intrusion on a person's territory, rights, etc. If we umbrella the previous slide all of the four major things that we as members felt were priorty to act upon are incased in this topic.
- Lets Quicklylook at some of the demographics… Informatics and data collection is pretty incredible now a days…. Send on June 20th 2016 to all 558 members across Canada only 63 % of those who received the email opened it…. 379 opened the email with the survey link and roughly 60% Of that 155 people clicked the link and 66% of people who clicked a link… 101 of them left something behind… and 5 % of you ate yogurt this morning….. In summary it appears as if rougly an 18 % response rate So what we can conclude…. About 37% of memberships emails don’t work……and 70 percent of you are apathetic

- 76 responses Thank you to the ¾;s of cets whom answered this question But being that it was open ended I had a mix of responses. The majority of responses…. In my opinion the best response was…..
- Respondents indicated that the major strength of professional encroachment was minimal as 30% believe to have no positive impact while 20 % indicated that it defines our role as a specialist Encroachment has or may leave to the loss of our professional status and potential referral sources.

Whether its partnerships, education with students, group discussions, presentations, lectures, committee’s being a board member, It starts because we care…
