- This is a photo of the ball he used for that double eagle.
- 1949- Dwight D. Eisenhower talks with co-founder Clifford Roberts about the addition of a pond on the far eastern side of the course. Roberts broke ground and Ike’s Pond was introduced to the course in the latter parts on 1949. Eisenhower gave Roberts the idea after he had come back to Augusta for the first time since the end of the World War II.
- 1952 no Spiderman did’nt win but Slammin Sammy did.
- 1958 marks the dedication of the Ben Hogan and Byron Nelson Bridges. The Ben Hogan Bridge(front) takes golfers to the 12 th green from the fairway. The Nelson Bridge(back) takes golfers from the 13 th teeing area towards the 13 th fairway.
- Now folks 1971 was a sad year for golf because we lost a great man Mr. Bobby Jones.
- In 1974 the additional change from beige sand to feldspar was made. The feldspar is a white quartz material that changed the color of the bunkers to the common white Augusta look. The feldspar sand was and still is shipped

- And seen here in 1989 the course saw a rare snowfall.
