1. Cloud Operations Engineer
Job brief
Azuga is looking for a Network/Cloud Ops Engineer to design, implement, maintain, and support
our growing network infrastructure on Amazon cloud. You will be part of a team that is
responsible for designing and developing scalable, maintainable, highly available network
architectures that meet business objectives and SLAs.
Responsibilities
● Configure and install various components and services (e.g., firewalls, load balancers,
virtual instances, databases etc)
● Monitor performance and ensure system availability and reliability
● Monitor system resource utilization, trending, and capacity planning
● Work within established configuration and change management policies to ensure
awareness, approval and success of changes made to the network infrastructure
● Deploy product releases on production infrastructure (including hot fixes)
● Work closely with Engineering team on improve application performance and scalability
● Select and implement security tools, policies, and procedures in conjunction with the
company’s security team
● Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution
Requirements
● Experience in deploying and maintaining applications on cloud infrastructure - preferably
AWS
● 4-6 years of IT experience with progressively-increasing responsibilities
● Experience and ability to implement monitoring tools
● Experience with planning and executing failover and disaster recovery procedures
● Ability to work collaboratively with geographically-diverse cross-functional teams to
launch and maintain cloud services
● Experience managing relationships with IT and hosting vendors
● Experience working with Technical Support and Product Development organizations for
incident escalation and resolution
● Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills in both hardware and software.
● Administration knowledge of Linux OS
● Excellent knowledge of Shell and Perl scripting
● Experience in managing and administering mysql database - preferably Amazon RDS
● Data centre operation experience is an plus
● Deep understanding of networking protocols
