1. THE ULTIMATE SURVIVAL
GUIDE TO THE CITY OF SAN
FRANCISCO

2. ABSTRACT
•
One day the city of San Francisco (population: 825,863) is hit suddenly with the biggest
drastic change in 100 years, the city has been approached by extraterrestrials from the
Planet Mars. There had been discussion through NASA they saw a very large star traveling at
very high speeds through space, but never thought extraterrestrials could have been
traveling on this star. They landed at the center of Union Square in which appeared to be a
clear bubble and did not speak.They drew images on their bubble to announce their purpose
of coming to San Francisco. Their drawings were clear they want to take parts of each
persons DNA to create a world of species with perfect gene pools and have them take over
planet Earth starting with San Francisco. The extraterrestrials want to be the creators and the
rulers of the perfect humans they have created. The humans whom they extracted the genes
from could eventually be the worlds slaves, the low class people with no rights to their
names. The terrestrials also drew if the people of San Francisco can escape and out smart
and out run them they will return to Planet Mars and forget about their plan to take over the
world.

Knowing of their presence in the center of Union Square I created a survival guide for the
people of San Francisco that will be placed in every newspaper dispenser in S.F. with my
knowledge from this courses themes of gender, race, technology, and science fiction. My
ideas have been generated from Octavia Butler’s novel Dawn and Washington’s Medical
Apartheid.With Butler and Washington as my inspiration it is bound to make a strong project
with strong course themes presented such as race, gender, science fiction, violence, and
technology. Throughout the survival guide I will be addressing the following themes:

• Here is Your Survival Guide to San Francisco! Lets Save the city by the Bay!
• What’s up San Francisco? I know this might be shocking to you that your city
has been turned upside down with the presence of Extraterrestrials from
planet Mars. You may feel lost, scared, and angered that this is happening to
the city you call Home. However; they are messing with the wrong city! We
are a strong city and we can get through this and push the extraterrestrials
out of our city, if we do it together and follow this survival guide! With this
survival guide you have to understand every social class poor/rich, every
gender male/female/transgender, every race White/Black/Asian/Hispanic, we
have to put all our differences together and come together as one in order
too save our lives and our city by the bay!
• Follow the following pages in order too push the Extraterrestrials back to
planet Mars. Good luck San Franciscans this guide is your passage to
success to remain in the beautiful city of San Francisco!

5. Forget the differences: Focus on the Similarities
• San Francisco is listed number 9 in the TOP TEN most diverse cities in America
(www.cnbc.com) which means we have many differences to look past and work together
no matter what race.
• San Francisco is defiantly not a racist city because for the past fifty years we have
lived in a very diverse environment, and have created towns such as China town and
Japan Town to make people from over seas to feel welcomed.
• So be true San Francisicans and come together as one and embrace every race,
gender, and social class.

6. TECHNOLOGY AND TRANSPORTATION: COMING
INTO PLAY TO REACH YOUR DESTINATIONS
• Plan A: Pull out your IPhones and Androids and find the closest
cable car as your first escape from the extraterrestrials
• If Plan A fails Plan B is to call down the nearest taxi in union
square as an other escape from the extraterrestrials or hop on
the next bart train or muni bus
• They have no clue how to use an IPhone for directions or call
down a taxi
• WE must use our technology and the knowledge of our
environment to out run the terrestrials.

8. EVERY CABLE CAR AND PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION IS
RUNNING HIGH TAKE A MOMENT TO READ
“OUR KNOWLEDGE AND RESEARCH OF
EXTRATERRESTRIALS” TO HELP DEFEAT THEM!
• Their bodies our shaped like snails, which means they move much slower than
humans.
• They cannot survive without traveling in their “bubble” they arrived in because
their bodies will dilute if exposed to oxygen and carbon dioxide-the air we
breath.
• Their bubble allows them to stretch their arms out of the bubble so they are
protected by our air, but can still capture us humans do perform their medical
procedure to suck out our DNA.
• Their “bubble” does have defects it can transport them anywhere, but if it gets
wet by H2o it will crack and the terrestrials will start to become disoriented and
slowly wither away and be sucked back to planet Mars.

10. THE NEXT STEPS OF DOMINATING
TERRESTRIALS
• With this knowledge of terrestrial life fellow San Franciscans you
must allow the terrestrials to follow you in whatever
transportation you picked with providing as much distance as
need for you to not be touched by their arms coming out of their
bubble.
• Whatever transportation your on make sure it takes you closest
to PIER 39 where the terrestrials will have their first glance at
H2o and we will attempt to get their bubble drenched in water.
• This is a huge risk to your safety, but it is one of the only options
to save the city and you.

12. WARNING: ONCE YOU HAVE ARRIVED AT PIER 39 YOU MUST
BE AGGRESSIVE AND VIOLENT IF THE TERRESTRIALS
APPROACH YOU TO CLOSE THEY CAN HARM YOU WITHIN
SECONDS OF TOUCHING YOU
• The
terrestrials will be traveling in their bubbles along the piers
trying to capture any human so watch out!
• Your goal is to led them closest to the shore of the bay as
possible.
• It is time to split up and use gender roles to get the job done!

13. GENDER ROLES COME INTO PLAY TO
• Women must do the talking and distracting of the terrestrials.
• Women you must allow the terrestrials to follow you and led them to
gate 3 on pier 39 where you will meet the males
• The males will have the blue and gold fleet ship running to gather the
terrestrials in their bubbles on the bottom deck of the ship while the
males our on the upper deck out of sight of the terrestrials.
• The males are going to steer the ship out to Alcatraz Island where
some of the most famous prisoners were put behind bars.

15. MALES DROP ANCHOR
• Males must drop all the anchors on the boat and jump off the ship into the
water and swim the short left of the distance to Alcatraz Island
The WOMEN
• Women take charge by taking multiple fleet ships from the piers and sailing them over to get
the rest of the males on Alcatraz Island while the terrestrials are trying to escape the ship the
males left them on.
• With every citizen of San Francisco in a ship on the bay and every harbor in SF left empty of
ships we have almost finished our mission of out smarting and running the extraterrestrials
• As people of San Francisco use your free speech, politics, and our common state of mind to
give the terrestrials an option!
• DRAW ON THE SHIPS because they do not understand our language give them the option to
1.Either allow them to dilute in the bay surrounding them
2.Or to leave all together in peace and promise to never come back to Earth to harm
the people or its cities again
We hope they chose option 2 and they did!

16. ENDING RESULT
• The terrestrials wrote on their bubbles “SF PEACE” and
they diminished into thin air.
• The people of San Francisco you have saved yourselves
and your city by the bay congrats.
