1. CLAYTON SKORSKI
PROFILE
The most important reason as to why I want and would be excellent at this job is my natural
enthusiasm to engage with new things, including people. I love meeting different kinds of people and
also feel joy helping them, such as selling them the right product to suit them best. I find it
fascinating to learn, respect and experience different cultural diversities. I am, and always will be
determined to work to the best of my ability in everything I do due to the fact that I like the feeling
that I have contributed to a target, either in a personal activity or when working in a group. I am
keen to learn new skills and ready for a challenge; I can work well as part of a team or individually.
My previous work experience shows I am persistent at tasks until they are successfully finished and I
have developed good communication skills. I am also caring and considerate of other people and will
try to help others in a difficult situation.

EMPLOYMENT
JOB TITLE: SuperDry (2012-2013) (Winter Position)
RESPONSIBILITIES: This was my first time in retail and I loved every second of it, working at one
of the busiest and most popular brands in the world I loved the satisfaction of being involved within it.
I was not set to just one area within this job, I was put on many different areas, which gave me great
experience and understanding how all areas of the business needs to be at the top of the game to be
able to compete and stay successful within the market. A few of the areas I was put on, The Front
Door, this is where I warmly greeted every single customer that came in, to assure them to feel
welcome and to enjoy their experience within the store. I always went the extra mile and made every
customer feel unique and important, such as asking them light questions such as are you enjoying
their Christmas shopping, and seeing to them personally if they need help choosing an item or help
with anything else; giving them an overall happy and satisfied experience to SuperDry. I also got put
on The Changing Rooms; as basic as it sounds, it took me by surprise how you need to be on the ball
when it gets busy, if constant customers keep coming and going it gets hard keeping track, but I
know I proved myself well within this and preformed at the top of my game. The Rail (replacing the
2. sold items on the shop floor with a new items) and The Stock Room, this is where I leant about how a
retail store is run behind the doors, at first it took my breath away, but over time I understood and
learnt fast how it runs (and that is just to name a few, the list could go on).
JOB TITLE: Skorski’s Bar and Restaurant (2007-2009) (Summer Position)
RESPONSIBILITIES: I gained a lot from working in this summer position, such as gaining a sense of
patience, respect and understanding of the customer’s needs. If customers are not satisfied for
whatever reason I feel it is my obligation to solve this problem to the best of my ability. One key skill
I have gained is the ability to successfully complete a specific task in a fast and effective manner, like
collecting glasses, bringing meals to the customers, cleaning dishes and helping other people if they
are in need of assistance and mainly being friendly with work colleagues and customers to create a
happy and enjoyable atmosphere.
JOB TITLE: Richard’s Newsagents: (2005-2012)
RESPONSIBILITIES: I have gained a lot of skills from working at a Newsagents delivering papers on
weekends, such as good communications with customers and other co-workers, working well with
other people, working efficiently and listening to instructions carefully. Always on time for owners
satisfaction, putting customers first is the main target for me and if there were any problems I would
naturally want to find a solution.
JOB TITLE: The Co-operative Banking Group (2009-2009 and 2011-2011)
RESPONSIBILITIES: I gained valuable work experience from here and I am highly likely to return
because I loved helping out. I love the satisfaction of working as a group and completing a set goal. It
was a good experience and has especially enhanced my ability to adapt to different situations. It has
helped me become more open minded and has given me a greater perspective on the world and the
amount of different jobs/opportunities which exist.
TASKS UNDERTAKEN:
- General office duties
- Attending and taking notes at the Chief Executive’s staff briefings
- Work on the staff intranet site
- Maintaining a blog on the CFS website
- Attending and helping out at photo shoots
- Production of a staff video including preparing and asking questions of various members of

VOLUNTEER WORK
Football Coaching in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil (Booked for sometime in 2013/2014):
During the summer I will be working with children aged 6 to 18 years old coaching them in all aspects
of the game and watching as they develop into great players but into great individuals as well. Not
only will I be teaching football and sports but I will also be mentoring disadvantaged children from the
poor families of the favelas and giving them a better start in life. I have saved up over the last two
years to be able to use my own personal money and put it towards a good cause and travel across the
world to be hands on in a completely different culture and life style. As stated previously, I have
always been one to put people before myself as I get a great satisfaction seeing someone I helped
grow become a better person, and knowing I helped make a person less fortunate than me enjoy life
that little more is a reward in itself.
