In my article on the Consuming I face some theoretical paradigms in order to point out the subjective level of consuming in terms of irrational expectations and the role of mind in choises (imagination and desire)

1. A brief note about the
article ‘The consuming
which nourishes’

2. Consuming marks our relationship with the world in all its
aspects, and can be read from many angles as it is
a multiple, multi-faceted and opaque practice. I would
propose a philosophical reading of consuming since
it reveals the complexity of contemporary subjectivity not
only in practices and choices but also, and especially, in
the production of new discourses around them.
Neoliberal apparatuses intensify the production of citizen-consumer,
so that the consumer is an object of reflection
and interest not only for political economy, increased into
the statements of contemporary economists, but also for
theoreticians who rooting it in the folds of the mind the
behavior of consumers. My intent is to bring into this
discussion the texts of Foucault and Deleuze in critical
dialogue with the theories of the new economy.
