Occupation Mechanical Engineer
Work experience
Dates Sep 2013 - Feb 2015
Position Doctoral researcher
Activities Supersonic combustion research, theory and numerics of hyperbolic conserva-
tion laws, finding representative reduced reaction models for the correct resolu-
tion of explosion limits of hydrogen/air, high performance computing and combus-
tion/gasdynamics teaching assignments.
Main activity consisted in writing own finite volume simulations code for the reactive
Euler equations. This solver incorperates adaptive mesh refinement and handles
complex 2D domains. Code was further optimized to run on GPUs using CUDA, and
subsequently used to research pulse detonation engine ignition.
Programming proficiency gained in C++ and Shell scripting. Extensive usage of Linux
CLI, LaTeX, Matlab and Gnuplot.

neering, advanced thermodynamics, chemical process technology, sensors and mea-
surement systems, industrial automation, energy economics.
